Phulara Ridge is considered as the chains of mountains that give you a unique trek experience. The ridge top is known for offering amazing & stunning panoramic views of elevated mountains. One of the best things about this trek is that you will get magnificent views of mountains throughout your trekking journey. The attention-grabbing pastures of Pushtara are the main highlights of this trek. It is one of the treks that is perfect for both beginners & experienced trekkers who wish to explore the unparalleled beauty of the Sankri range.
Throughout the year, Phulara Ridge is covered with greenery as well as beautiful flowers such as Fankamal & Brahmakamal, giving you an eye-catchy view of nature. The best time to go for this trek is April-June & September to December.
During the trek, you will see that a 250-degree panorama of snow-covered mountains stay with you and looks like they are trekking with you. The trails during the trek will take you through quaint places with awe-inspiring views. So get ready to experience the most unique trek of your life.
Day 01: Dehradun to Sankri, Drive 198km/8-9 hrs
Sankri is 198kms from Dehradun so we will start early so that in the evening we can reach Sankri. In the route, you will get the opportunity to have eye-catchy views of Mori Naitwar, Nainbagh, Jarmola & Naugaon along with stunning sights of nature. Sankri is a beautiful village that offers perfect sights of the sunset behind the Himalayas.
Day 2: Sankri (1920 m) to Sikolta (2830 m); Trek 4-5 hrs
After having breakfast, we will start our trek to Sikolta and go through a lovely pine forest. During the trek, you are going to find beautiful purple lilies as well as yellow marsh marigold blooming. After a few hours of trekking, you can have an alluring sight of snow-covered mountains. Your dinner and night stay will be scheduled in tents at Sikolta.
Day 3: Sikolta to Bhoj Gadi (3400 m); Trek 4 hrs
Today the trek gradient is going to easy-moderate. You will go through a dark and dense forest which will give you an exciting experience. After you cross Larsu Thatch, you can have the vistas of stunning Kedarkantha peak which is worth capturing. Don’t forget to experience the sunset and sunrise because it is one of the most beautiful scenes from your campsite that you cannot afford to miss.
Day 4: Bhoj Gadi to Pushtara meadows (2890 m) via Phulara Ridge (3690 m), Trek 5-6 hrs
On day 4, after having breakfast, we will start our trek to Pushtara meadows via Phulara Ridge. Since there will be no water source between the trek so carry your water bottle. During the trek, you can explore several Himalayan Monals. The scene from the ridge is outstanding and you can also see eye-catchy views of Hanuman Top, Bandarpoonch, and Swargarohini. After reaching the Pushtara meadows, you will be stunned by its vastness.
Day 5: Pushtara Meadows to Taluka (2425 m) and Drive to Sankri (1920 m), Trek 4-5 hrs and 1 hr Drive.
It will be the last day of your trek so do not forget to experience the last breathtaking sunrise of mountains. We will trek back to Taluka where you will find broken huts of Gujjar. During the trek, we will go through a dense pine forest. After reaching Taluka we will drive back to Sankri, marking the end of a tremendous trekking journey.
Day 6: Departure Day, Sankri to Dehradun
Have your breakfast and get ready to drive back to Dehradun from Sankri. By the evening, we will reach Dehradun.
