A winter wonderland and a trekkers delight, the Har Ki Doon Trek is a stairway to heaven that will make you fall for its beauty. The thing that makes it an alluring trek is its accessibility both in summer as well as the winter season. Har Ki Dun valley is situated at the western flank of Garhwal in the Uttarkashi district is very popular to the trekkers as well as that to the climbers. It is a lovely walk to the Har Ki Dun valley with fascinating views of Swargarohini group of peaks. Har Ki Dun catchment area is a major source of Yamuna River System and the main source of the largest tributary of Yamuna.
It takes you through some of the most charismatic alpine meadows and pine forests which is a treat to the eyes. During winters the snow-covered trails look mesmerizing as and when the sun tries to peep behind the clouds. One of the oldest Treks in the Himalayas, known as the ‘Valley of Gods’, some believe it’s the same route taken by the Pandavas in the Mahabharata on their ascent to heaven. Swargarohini—the snow peak, the vision of which dominates this trek bears a legacy of the mythical stairway to heaven.

Very good accommodation and great facilities. Got a very good service and guidance throughout
My first experience was overall amazing in har ki dun. I’d like to recommend Hill hikiers. Organisation’s members were helpful, supportive and polite throughout the journey. Kitchen stuffs were maintained hygiene. From delicious breakfast to flavoursome dinner including lunch and evening snacks in typical Indian style made the journey more memorable. On the other hand sleeping accommodation was also satisfactory.
Note: They recognizes every single hiker with their valuable certificate after achievement.
In short, Hill Hikiers would be preferable for me further.
I have recently completed the Har Ki Dun trek with Hill Hikiers, and it was a wonderful experience. They have guided us throughout the trek. They were friendly by nature, and also helped us in every way possible. I am also satisfied with the meals provided.
I highly recommend Hill Hikeirs. My first trek with them was in ‘Har ki Dun’. Everything was conducted smoothly in a routinely and organised manner. Drivers were instructed about pickup locations. Trek guides were extremely professional and strict about schedules. They were also polite and helpful in difficult situations. Every scenario and plan was briefed beforehand and questions are encouraged and were answered by the trek lead. Full satisfaction was guaranteed by providing a variety of three course meals twice a day. There was also provision for tea, coffee, hot water and light snacks. Sleeping accommodation was also satisfactory. In short, the happiness in hiking was well delivered.
good trek
